Reviews of the First Edition rrently there are more questions than answers in prostate cancer and the authors certainly could not have been expected to provide all the solutions for these many difficult issues. They have set out the problems clearly, however, and by doing so set a challenge for all of us in the urological community to provide the evidence based resolution to these many thorny issues by carefully constructed, long-term randomised files." The British Journal of Urology 5-9-96 really enjoyed reading this new monograph on prostate cancer. The editor has chosen a very appropriate approach. Indeed Mr Brian Peeling has selected 20 topics for discussion which reflect the most important features about prostate cancer....I agree with the conclusion of the foreword, so beautifully expressed by John P Blandy: These reviews tackle the issue head on, clearly point out the difficulties and dilemma and deal in depth with both sides of the question. They do not, and cannot be expected to provide any easy answers to such difficult questions, but they should leave the urologist better informed and in a far better position to offer wise counsel. Which words could better summarise the value of this book."
