Description
Designed for students who use statistical methods for the analysis of data, this text and its accompanying microcomputer graphics package introduce simple types of linear models, such as linear regression and analysis of variance, and provide an analysis of covariance and multiple regression. The graphics are used to develop the user's intuition about the statistical methods discussed in the book. Mathematical formalism is kept to a minimum, although the necessary mathematical details are given in each section. Emphasis is placed on allowing the user to learn by exploring the models and drawing pictures whilst referring to the text.
