Learning Mathematics Through Inquiry

This work relates the experience of the author working with two secondary school girls who did not like maths, and how they began to see themselves as "real mathematicians" engaged in original mathematical explorations. She raises issues about the teaching and learning of mathematics, and offers teachers new approaches to use in the classroom.
