Description
"The Book of Exodus" was originally conceived by artist Sam Fink as a gift to his family. For his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, he created 40 great watercolours, one for each chapter in the book of "Exodus". The extraordinary biblical text details the Jews' enslavement in Egypt, their harrowing journey with Moses out of bondage, and the formation of the new laws established for them by their God. Each watercolor is meticulously hand-lettered with the Old Testament text, in Hebrew and in the King James and Jewish Publications Society's 1917 English translation, and thoughtfully painted by an artist whose commitment to bringing history's most meaningful documents to life is exquisitely realised here in "The Book of Exodus".At 90 years of age, Sam Fink is an original, a renowned artist and calligrapher. He studied at the National Academy and the Art Students' League. For two decades, Sam worked as an art director at Young & Rubicam, the world-renown advertising agency. Later, he taught his craft at the Pratt Institute and made professional contributions to Lands End catalogue.
For the past twenty-plus years, Sam has both educated and entertained adults and children with his vibrantly illustrated texts of American history.
