Louise Bonnett-Rampersaud was born in England and moved to the United States when she was six. She has lived in Florida, Pennsylvania, and Maryland. She received a journalism degree from the University of Maryland. In addition to The Secret Knock Club series, Louise is also the author of Polly Hopper's Pouch, illustrated by Lina Chesak-Liberace; How Do You Sleep?, illustrated by Kristin Kest; Bubble & Squeak, illustrated by Susan Banta; and Never Ask a Bear, illustrated by Doris Barrette. She lives in Maryland with her family.
Adam McHeffey is a musician as well as an author and illustrator. He graduated with a BA from SUNY Purchase College and currently lives in Nashville, Tennessee. Adam is both the writer and illustrator of two picture books: Asiago, which School Library Journal called "funny and fresh," and Rudy and Claude Splash Into Art.
