This book attempts to illuminate one of the most important and emotional issues of our time - the threat to Africa's wildlife, especially the elephant. The author makes clear that unless we address the needs of Africans in their poverty and despair - instead of imposing on them culturally biased Western solutions - they will, by necessity, destroy the wildlife. The book reveals and documents how some wildlife organizations often suppress facts that would get in the way of public relations, and ignore forward-thinking conservationists.
