Description
Montana Rising is a mild-mannered—okay not mild, but at least well-mannered—teacher by day, avid Scrabble player by early evening, and fast asleep by 10pm. Unless she’s up writing a fantastical story using all the words played in a particularly good Scrabble game. But after her granddaughter brings home a frightened friend, Monti’s life starts reading more like a crime drama than a romantic comedy. How will she write her Scrabble story to a satisfying "Happily Ever After" conclusion? And how can she get her own sweet life back when the situation is spiraling dangerously out of control?

LeeAnn Bonds was raised an Air Force brat, and married an Army brat who couldn't give up the nomad life. They did settle in north Idaho for a time to raise their children, whom LeeAnn homeschooled all the way into college. The kids are grown, and she and her husband have flown the empty nest and returned to the wandering life. They currently live on Saipan, in the Northern Mariana Islands, where she's learning to love heat and humidity to a greater degree than she ever thought possible.
LeeAnn has been writing since she discovered that telling stories was as much fun as reading them. She's written innumerable obscure online pieces, and has had published one short story and several magazine articles. She writes to encourage women to persevere through difficulties, and live a joyful life of faith, hope and love.
Montana Rising, Wordplay is her first novel (not counting the inevitable first first novel which will likely never escape from her hard drive).
