Street Justice
Description
Michael Carrick, a scarred ex-operative turned law professor, lives quietly in exile from the violence of his past. His ex-wife, Annaliese, has built a powerful career in Washington as a rising senator, though their marriage fractured over his methods and her politics. The only bridge between them is their daughter, Valena - bright, artistic, and newly abroad on a school trip to Madrid.
When Valena is abducted from her hotel in a carefully orchestrated attack, Michael and Annaliese are thrust back into each other's lives. For Michael, it's a call to arms. For Annaliese, it's a test of every belief she has in the law. Both must face the terrible truth: the trafficking ring that took their daughter stretches across borders, protected by money and political power.
