Stella Blackstone has written many best-selling titles for Barefoot Books, including the popular Bear and the award-winning The Animal Boogie (2000). Her stories have been translated into a number of languages. She lives in the Cotswolds with her three children, two dogs and two cats. Caroline Mockford is the mother of two young children, based in Bristol. She has a degree in Fine Art and has taught art to very young children, which has given her invaluable insight into how children explore and learn through books. She works mainly in acrylics to achieve her trademark strong and bold colours. This is Caroline's fifth title for Barefoot Books, joining The Elephants' Ears (2000), What's This? (2000), Cleo the Cat (2000), Come Here, Cleo! (2001) and Cleo and Caspar (2001).
