The opening's statement of 'almost everything we do is affected by or perception of God' is tremendous, getting the reader to self-assess right away, intrigued by the concept of PERCEPTION of God. Excellent book. Intriguing, and at this point the reader knows without doubt that we are in for an illuminating read. The author's writing voice is stellar: engaging, educating without lecturing, posing fascinating questions in a tone that reminds the reader of having a chat with a fascinating friend from whom we can learn.
~Writer's Digtest Judge
IF GOD WERE TO WRITE YOU A PERSONAL LETTER... would it be full of harshness, pointing out all your faults and wrong-doings?
The Letters will reveal a God who knows your name and He offers you Hope, Encouragement and Inspiration; a God who knows the desire of your heart, your deepest fear, what shames you. You will find a God who not only loves you, but is very, very fond of you.

"A gorgeous cover! Excellent use of texture, and the slots for hope, encouragement and inspiration beckon the reader into the book. Very well done. The opening's statement of 'almost everything we do is affected by or perception of God' is tremendous, getting the reader to self-assess right away, intrigued by the concept of PERCEPTION of God. Excellent."Author contrasts our self-driven lives with the openness of faith beautifully. And again, a very powerful opening in the introduction with the question of what God would write if He sent you a letter. Intriguing, and at this point the reader knows without doubt that we are in for an illuminating read. The author's writing voice is stellar: engaging, educating without lecturing, posing fascinating questions in a tone that reminds the reader of having a chat with a fascinating friend from whom we can learn.
"The structure of the book as daily letters is done well, and author wisely mixes up the letters' lengths to please the reader's eye and give us insight-packed bites that inspire. The quotes are excellent, and the book is pleasingly designed. A standout question on page 111 is 'how many people do you think I reach out to?', getting the reader to step out of a self-focus (a common magnet) to think about God's effect on others, the needs of others. Reader is calmed and restored once again. Page 163's list of how God speaks is a standout as well. Author has chosen excellent scriptures on which to base these letters, and providing the resources list at the end shows again the author's excellent level of care and effort in writing this book. I greatly enjoyed it and will refer to it again and again, as - I'm sure - most readers will."

"The God who knew us before we were formed in our mother's womb is the same God who loves us, cares for us, and wants the very best for us. In The Letters Michael shows you how to climb upon your Heavenly Father's lap and talk with Him one on one. This book will unlock years of emotions and allow you to breathe fresh breaths of God's love."
~Dr. James R. Hicks, Senior Pastor Author of A Thumbnail Sketch of the Bible Story
"In a world of loneliness and uncertainties, we are prone to wonder if God really loves us or cares for us. Nothing is more personal than receiving a letter, especially when it reminds us of how kind, caring, loving, gentle, faithful and personal our God really is. Michael Biggs has put into words that God is always there in every aspect and situation of our lives AND sufficient for every need."
~Paul Ferrin, Musician, Arranger, Pianist and host of An Old Fashioned Hymn Sing
"Michael Biggs has written a book with words that have wandered his heart for some time. In a world with so many obsessive or hostile attitudes toward God, Biggs offers us a meaningful way to be open to God and to a two-way conversation with a God who loves us more than is imaginable."
~Dr. Harold Ivan Smith, Dr. of Theology Asbury Seminary EdS. From George Peabody College of Vanderbilt University
