Troubleshooting and Repairing Notebook, Palmtop and Pen Computers

This work presents an overview of small-computer concepts, the operating principles of all electronic and mechanical components, the test equipment needed to perform repairs and service guidelines for professionals. It includes the diagnostic procedures needed to repair each major portable computer subsystem, taking both "total system" and component-level approaches. Each problem and solution is summarized in the appendix. The work should be a useful on-the-job companion for technicians who trouble-shoot and repair portable computers.
