Emerging Macrofiscal and Governance Challenges and Opportunities in Developing Asia and the Pacific

This study examines how developing Asia and the Pacific can build resilience by strengthening domestic resource mobilization and debt management, public financial and expenditure management, and oversight and accountability. Examining fiscal risks, private sector development, and subnational governance, the study highlights the importance of inclusive collaboration, context-specific reforms, and sustained political commitment. It aims to inform policy dialogue and support institutional strengthening, enhanced governance, and stronger macrofiscal resilience across ADB's developing member countries.
