Description
Over the past 30 years, occupational analysis has become synonymous with a variety of approaches and methods for identifying, gathering, interpreting, and applying information about the world of work and the activities that individuals accomplish when they work at many levels of analysis. These include approaches dealing with knowledge and skill assessment, task and task cluster, job and position, and, more recently, process and organizational approaches.
Each of the seven papers in this special issue provides information and research findings related to unique and innovative approaches for the collection and use of occupational analysis. These papers highlight many recent advances made in occupational development, analysis, and application at several analysis levels for a variety of uses.
