Description
Celebrating its 50th anniversary with 20 million copies sold, Peter Benchley's Jaws is the gripping pulp thriller that inspired Steven Spielberg's classic, blockbuster film adaptation.
Now, with exclusive bonus content from Peter's personal archives and an exclusive foreword from his wife, renowned ocean conservation advocate Wendy Benchley.
It's never safe to go back in the water . . .
It was just another day in the life of a small Atlantic resort until the terror from the deep came to prey on unwary holidaymakers. The first sign of trouble, a warning of what was to come, took the form of a young woman's body - or what was left of it - washed up on the long, white stretch of beach.
A summer of terror has begun . . .
'Pick up Jaws before midnight, read the first five pages, and I guarantee you'll be putting it down breathless and stunned, as dawn is breaking the next day' - Daily Express
This edition offers bonus material from Peter Benchley's archives: his original typed title page, a list of early title ideas, and a candid letter to film producer David Brown about the movie adaptation. Plus, read excerpts from Benchley's Shark Trouble for his firsthand account of writing Jaws, selling it to Universal, and working with Steven Spielberg.
