Reviews / Votes
Laugh-out-loud funny. If this is cosy crime, let's have more of it -- Belfast Telegraph About as good as modern murder mystery gets. Warm, very funny and absolutely fizzing with wit and originality. -- Ian Moore, bestselling author of DEATH AND CROISSANTS I adore Alice Bell's biting wit, fabulous characters, and the creative set-up of her murder mysteries. The Grapples of Wrath is another cracking addition to the series, with the added flair of some unforgettable pro-wrestling characters and a wonderful Brighton backdrop. Come for the spooky humour, stay for the satisfying twists and turns. An absolute delight from start to finish. -- Kristen Perrin, internationally bestselling author of HOW TO SOLVE YOUR OWN MURDER Just so much fun. I raced through Alice Bell's third book - characters you can't help but root for and lots of sneaky twists and turns. I loved it. -- Heather Darwent, author of THE THINGS WE DO TO OUR FRIENDS So much fun! Tight, funny and a well-woven mystery. This is what the world needs right now! -- Kitty Murphy, author of DEATH IN HEELS A rollicking, hilarious, breakneck caper that reunites readers with my absolute favourite mismatched and ghostly sleuths. This book will blast away the cobwebs and make you laugh out loud. Perhaps best put in the words of one of her deader characters, Alice Bell is an absolute tonic! -- Sam Blake, No 1 bestselling author of THE KILLING SENSE Hilarious, outrageous, and mysterious. The spooky ABC team strikes again, and Alice Bell continues to deliver with every book in this wonderful series -- Antony Johnston, author of CAN YOU SOLVE THE MURDER? Warm, smart, and laugh-out-loud funny - an absolute joy -- Andrea Mara, No 1 bestselling author of NO ONE SAW A THING on DISPLEASURE ISLAND Delightful ... effortlessly funny. It deserves to be enormous! -- Stuart Turton, No 1 bestselling author of THE LAST MURDER AT THE END OF THE WORLD, on DISPLEASURE ISLAND A cracking romp of a read! Agatha Christie meets Ghosts -- J M Hall, author of A SPOONFUL OF MURDER on DISPLEASURE ISLAND Fast, funny and furious ... Alice Bell writes with real verve -- Janice Hallett, bestselling author of THE EXAMINER on GRAVE EXPECTATIONS Read this fabulous book - you will not regret it -- Ben Aaronovitch on GRAVE EXPECTATIONSMore details
