Description
This volume is part of a series of four which make available a collection of texts illustrating the origins, polities, theologies, worship and socio-political aspects of the several nonconformist traditions. Each text is introduced with biographical, contextual and bibliographical material. The aim of the series is to allow raeders to take the pulse of the various nonconformist traditions in England and Wales from the mid-16th century to the present day. The texts offer a rounded picture of a nonconformist heritage and include acts of Parliament, confessions, theological debates within and between the nonconformist traditions, sermons, liturgies, prayers and hymns.
