Selectivity in Information Systems

Based on a Rockefeller Foundation conference held October 1982 at the New York Public Library, this book examines the critical check points along the Information Storage and Retrieval Process. The opening paper considers, from the psychological point of view, how computers can more readily accommodate the memory processes of the mind to help indexers and researchers use large amounts of information more effectively. Subsequent papers examine other key issues involving information systems.
