Description
Learning to count is fun with this board book. Over 80 magnetic tiles can be positioned on the pages over and over again to give plenty of counting practice. It provides exercises in counting missing numbers, adding on, taking away, doing your own sums and learning how to add pairs of numbers to make 10. The number puzzles in this magnetic book provide a fun and educational way to help children learn to count, add up, and take away. The book begins by asking 'How many animals?', in which penguins, hippos, pandas, zebras, giraffes, monkeys, elephants, kangaroos, deer and flamingos in a wildlife park have to be counted. Other exercises involve filling in the missing numbers in a sequence, working out how many zebras are in a field if two more come along to play, and what happens when a kangaroo jumps the fence and leaves the paddock. The book comes with a tray that can be opened and pulled apart to create a set of over 80 magnets, each showing numbers 1 to 10, signs and animals. The pages contain grey squares to show where the magnets can go. Near the end of the book there are also pages with lines, where as many magnets as you like can be used.
