Karla's first self-published children's lullaby book, "Be Still - A Mother's Lullaby," has been awarded 2nd Place in the "2024 Best Children's Picture Book" category by the Christian Indie Publishing Association (CIPA), a finalist in the "2024 Next Generation Indie Book Awards (NGIBA) for Best Overall Design" category, and first place winner in the "Excellence in Marketing - Physical Media" category by the Christian Authors Network (CAN).As founder of the SHINE On Music program, Karla has educated hundreds of children from the underserved areas of Kansas City and in rural communities. Her mission is to educate children on how to get their art and talent out into the industry successfully but more importantly how to promote themselves 'safely' in a digital world. As a KCAIC Touring Roster Artist, she continues to perform her hope-induced music while centering her life around inspiring children to have the courage to pursue their dreams and to continue to shine.
