Tanya Robyn Batt is a freelance arts educator and storyteller. This is her second project for Barefoot Books, joining The Fabrics of Fairytale (1-84148-060-6). Tanya is based in her native New Zealand, but devotes most of each year to travelling and telling stories, and frequently tours the US and the UK. Gail Newey gained her Bachelor's degree in illustration and went on to paint limited edition 17th century style enamel boxes. Gail takes her artistic inspiration from the pre-Raphaelite artists in this, her first children's picture book. She lives in Manchester, England.
