Poetry Plus

Shannon Marie Bates wrote her entire life. She would write at any time, day or night, on any topic that popped into her head, on any scrap piece of paper that she could find. More often than not, she wrote about friends and family and what was happening in her life at the time. The poetry in this book is ordered more or less chronologically in order that the reader can follow her path through life. From her relatively young marriage, through the birth of her children, on through her divorce to her later years with an unrequited love and finally the illness that took her, you will learn more about Shannon than a lot of her friends and family knew while she was alive. The book was dutifully edited and produced posthumously by her eldest son Robert in order to satisfy his mother's final unfulfilled wish. May she now rest in peace.
