Brick-work: thinking and making

The London-based architectural practice of Sergison Bates combines building projects, construction research and teaching. The publication presents eight casestudy projects made between 1997 and 2005. Each of them explores the spatial potential of brick construction and identifies the possibilities for the materiality of buildings to have a direct emotional effect.
