User Interface Software

In this first volume of a new series (Trends in Software), the authors address some of the issues associated with user interface software, both current and future. These issues include both the technology for implementing novel user-interfaces and techniques for evaluating them. In particular, the authors address new technology and techniques needed for multi-media user interfaces, multi-user-interfaces, user-interfaces for advanced software, development environments, animation-based user- interfaces, direct-manipulation user-interfaces, and user-interfaces that support virtual reality.
