The12th International Conference on Elastic and Diffractive Scattering, held on 21 - 25 May 2007 at DESY inHamburg, had the subtitleForward Physics and QCD. Besides discussing in detail elastic and diffractive scatteringinepandppcollisions, emphasis was put on the QCD description of diffractive processes, which becomes moreand more important in the preparation for the start of the highest-energy proton-proton collider ever build, theLHC. Especially the issue of the underlying event and multi-parton interaction, which is relevant not only for QCDprocesses but also for all searches for new phenomena, was discussed in detail.
