John Barrowman became Captain Jack Harkness in Doctor Who in May 2005 and has appeared in eleven episodes of the hit show, before taking the lead role in Torchwood. As well as taking starring roles on the stage and on television, John has collaborated with his sister Carole on two volumes of autobiography, a comicstrip adventure in the official Torchwood magazine, and a fantasy novel for children, The Hollow Earth.
Carole E. Barrowman is Professor of English and Director of Creative Studies in Writing at Alverno College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She writes a regular newspaper column on crime fiction and, in addition to her writing collaborations with brother John, Carole has published a number of essays and contributed a chapter to the Hugo award-winning non-fiction anthology Chicks Dig Time Lords.
