Description
In this wild, incantatory novel, bodies fuse with machines, trees sprout spark plugs like fruit, and a murderous cult that worships speed plots sinister rituals.
In Santa Cruz, Bolivia, a teenage boy is haunted by the voices of car crash victims, including his older brother. As he seeks answers about his brother's death, he notices disturbing changes in his body - and fears he may unwittingly be at the centre of the sect's plans.
Blending pulp, sci-fi and body horror into its own twisted form, Thousands of Eyes accelerates towards a vision of an apocalyptic future.

I don't know if there are such bold writers in Latin America -- Mariana Enriquez, author of 'A Sunny Place for Shady People' I read Maximiliano Barrientos like a prophet. His books are a door to a literature that does not yet exist because he is creating it. If he set up a cult I would give him all my possessions -- Layla Martinez, author of 'Woodworm' A baroque wonder * El Pais * This novel is pure vertigo * El Diario *More details
