Athens

This guide contains 23 routes, half of which cover the ancient sites and monuments of Athens. A chapter is dedicated to the National Archaeological Museum and the other major collections are described in detail. This edition also covers the most recent archaeological discoveries made in the city. Other routes visit places close to Athens including Sounion, Eleusis, Daphni, Salamis and Marathon. There is a short essay on the art and architecture of the city and practical information on hotels, restaurants and tavernas.
