Richard Balding has a wide experience of teacahing science in prep schools, culminating in twenty-six years running the science department at Summer Fields. During his career, he has been the IAPS science co-ordinator, chairman of the Physics Common Entrance setting panel and SATIPS broadsheet editor, and was a marker for Key Stage 3 SATS. Publications include books on physics, chemistry and biology, written for prep schools. Now retired from teaching, he is active as an ISI inspector, writing and editing science books.
