Structural Engineering Innovations for Resilient Infrastructure
Description
This book presents select proceedings of the International Conference on Sustainable Infrastructure: Innovations, Challenges and Opportunities (SIIOC 2024). It delves into topics including but not limited to novel methods of structural analysis, behaviour of complex structural configurations, resilience of structures under natural hazards, dam engineering, structural optimization, health monitoring and computational mechanics. The book presents various facets of structural analysis methods, computational methods, usage of software packages and design methodologies to determine the response of complex structural systems subjected to extreme loading conditions. The book presents various facets of experiments to characterise the properties of construction materials and the intricacies involved in performing finite element simulations to assess the response of buildings under seismic and wind loading conditions. It serves as a valuable resource for researchers and industry professionals interested in developing analysis and design procedures for disaster resilient structures.
