Description
Under the Chin is a charming 'cat's-eye-view' from Blue the cat. Written to delight children but with lots of witty, tongue-in-cheek humour for the adults too.
Life is never dull in Blue's house. This delightful book will tell you why black socks send him into a frenzy, who really ate the worming tablets, and who is calling down the chimney at him. Hear about his midnight gymnastics and dangerous but fun fitness routine. He tells us what his favourite foods are and about his love/hate relationship with his friend Prickles the hedgehog. We also find out what happened to Squeak the mouse, and what caused Aunty Jean to scream and fling her slippers at him.
Even if you've never had a cat, you'll love this story and come back for more.

Person
Valerie Baker lives in the south west of England with her husband and sometimes her two stepchildren - and of course the loveable star of this book, her cat Blue. Words have always been a part of her life, from her days of typing on clunky manual typewriters right through to writing about modern-day apps for a job. When she retired, she realised that the quiet life didn't suit her and instead occupied herself by writing stories about her mischievous cat. She loves watching motorbike racing and going to rock concerts.
