Described as a one-patch quilt, this design allows you to play with colour. The possibilities for quilting are numerous too. The hexagonal design allows for stunning effects. You can use several different cutting tools and the design can be used with pre-cuts. It's a booklet with a complete how-to including template, cutting, finishing. Optional layouts and yardage for alternative sizes is also given. It all comes in a handy 'pocket' that makes this quilt pattern an ideal gift too. * yarnsandfabrics.co.uk * Avid quilters will adore this beautiful design. The finished quilt is 44 1/2 x 46 1/4 inches, and is put together using 25 blocks. Each block measures 17 5/8 x 15 1/4. It is put together using a teardrop shape and a recommended 60* ruler is helpful.
There is a template included that can be traced or photocopied and tips and techniques are simply explained.
An Optional layout guide is shown and everything that is needed to make this stunning quilt is listed.
I don't think this is for a beginner, but there is no reason why with patience and effort that you shouldn't have a go.
The colour possibilities are endless, but I plan to make mine in two or three muted shades. Creativity knows no bounds, and it is fun to play, when it comes to quilting.
A beautiful quilt that will advance your skills and enhance your home. -- Tracy Shephard * Postcard Reviews *
