Jordi Bernet Cusso is a Spanish comics artist, born in Barcelona in 1944. The son of comic artist, Miguel Bernet, Jordi's uncle, Juan Bernet Toledano, was also an illustrator, while another of his uncles, Miguel Cusso, was a writer. Jordi got his start in comics in his early teens, working on the magazine, Pepe Cola, working alongside his father. In the sixties he started working for several foreign publishers including those in the Uk, where he illustrated strips in Victor, The Hornet, Smash! and Tiger. In 1982 his career took off when he started working on Torpedo - a strip about a gangster operating in New York during the Great Depression. It was published in several Spanish comics, including Creepy, Thriller, Comix International & Totem El Comix before getting its own title in the early nineties. It won the 'Best Foreign Album Award' in 1986 at the Angouleme Comics Festival. In recent years, Jordi illustrated several issues of DC's Jonah Hex comic.
