Exploring Letters

Exploring Letters is one of a series of source books designed to help the study of knowledge about language in the English curriculum at key stage 3, each of which contains a range of examples of language in use which highlight the variety and structure of English. In each book, an anthology of examples is followed by a section of activities which encourage pupils to explore their own language and to collect further examples for their English work. All examples are accessible to the 11-14 age group, and there is a strong emphasis on observation and description of language rather than prescription.
