Description
Like many other cities, Gotha is struggling with the consequences of demographic change. The consequences include a decline in population, a reduction in the proportion of young people and people of working age, and an increase in the number of people aged 65 and over. This has a wide range of effects on urban development, particularly on the city's structure and the local economy. The demographic decline in population presents the city with new challenges, but also offers new opportunities. This book uses SWOT analysis to examine Gotha as a business location in order to derive specific recommendations for sustainable urban development. The goal is to develop an efficient economic, educational and innovation structure. However, this requires both the ability to act and decisiveness on the part of local stakeholders, as well as the pooling of resources from the economy, society and politics.
