Using Light

Looks at light as it interacts with the world around us. The first section is divided into double page spreads to introduce important concepts. Related questions and short activities encourage students to develop an understanding of these ideas, often using the skills required by Attainment Target 1 - the exploration of science. The second part consists of longer, more varied activities through which students can develop their skills and understanding more fully. All aspects of the topic are considered in the context of their social, economic and technical implications. "Science Scene" is a new series of books which provides a flexible resource for students at Key Stage 3 of the National Curriculum. "Using Light" covers the knowledge and understanding specified in Attainment Target 15.
