Description
The object of this book is to introduce the reader to the main results of optimization theory and its applications to microeconomics, avoiding technical difficulties as far as possible without sacrificing mathematical rigour. The author has chosen the most general mathematical framework which will not only ensure existence, uniqueness and stability of the solution of an optimization problem, but will also allow the solution to be given as an explicit analytical expression in terms of the data, enabling the reader to 'visualize' the results obtained.
