This is a combination of a story and factual information which serves to arouse a child's interest in a subject, in this case, housing. It aims to increase the child's knowledge of the subject and it provides ideas and incentives for improving living conditions for the child and for the family. It also aims to improve the child's fluency in English. This reader can be used in class, as a supplement to textbooks but can also be given to the child at home.
