Description
BLACK GOLD FED THE HIVE . . . NOW IT CHOKES ON THE SMOKE.
On a bright Spring morning, a freak fire rages through an oil refinery in a small Scottish town, leaving two dead in its wake. For their families, for the workforce, and for the once close knit community, nothing will ever be the same . . .
Wracked with guilt and devastated by this loss, Duncan Williams, process supervisor at the time of the accident, struggles to find new purpose in a rapidly changing world.
And Zara Thompson, bereft daughter of one of the victims, fights to build a better life for her own daughter in the face of devastating odds.
Their lives, and the lives of those they hold dear, will interlace and intertwine, ultimately showing the power of human resilience, and the desperate need to change our ways, or lose our future forever.
