Description
A fantastical illustrated book where mice chase cats, penguins live in the jungle, cars fly and aeroplanes float!
It's a time-honoured children's game - catching out the grown-ups when they're telling lies. Atak's just given it a new twist, using lots of classic tall tales, and adding a few new ones as well. By seeing what's obviously wrong, kids will learn what's really right.
This luxuriously varnished book is beautifully drawn by Atak, one of Germany's top illustrators.

Reviews / Votes
It's quite frankly topsy turvy but if your kids love a good belly laugh at the thought of a world where everything's flipped on its head and roles are interchanged, they'll love it to bits. * Read It Daddy *More details

Atak, studied visual communication at the Hochschule der Kuenste in Berlin. In 1989 he co-founded the avantgarde comics group and magazine Renate, and in 1992 his first graphic novel, Atak - The Flowers of Romance, was published. Besides illustration, he has ventured into animation. Along with his brother, he created the music video for the band Monoland.
He now holds a Professorship in Illustration at the Kunsthochschule Burg Giebichenstein Halle - an art college in the town of Halle, close to Leipzig in the former East Germany. Atak's work is bright, bold and colourful. A style he puts to fantastic use in Topsy Turvy World, an absurdist picture book about right and wrong, and Atak's first book with Flying Eye. Atak divides his time between Berlin and Stockholm.
