Description
Globalisation, rapid improvements in information flow capabilities, low cost communication and advancements in the logistic systems have increased competition worldwide. To survive in the highly competitive business environment and to sustain the competitive advantages, companies across the world have been forced to deliver high quality products at lower cost.Research show that many organisations in the Arab countries still lack appreciation of quality managment systems. The case study reported in this book analyses and evaluates current practices and knowledge of quality management activities in an anonymous Arabian manufacturing company, XTC. The objective of the research is to assess the level of TQM awareness and its application at XTC through empirical analysis. The study also focussed on the employee involvement aspects and the effectiveness of the TQM training programmes.
