Virtual Colonoscopy Vs Optic Colonoscopy in Colonic Pathologies

Colorectal cancer owing to its serious mortality and morbidity has become a major public health issue in recent years. India accounted for 19.56% cases of colorectal cancer in the world during 2005-2014. Recent advances in colorectal cancer screening have allowed detection and removal of adenomatous polyps which has led to decrease in morbidity and mortality associated with colon cancer. Currently optical colonoscopy is commonly done for diagnosis of colorectal pathologies.
