Description
This collection of around 150 card games for the young and old contains sample games for the novice with colour illustrations using actual cards, plus information on strategy. The author has set out to describe games in non-technical language, explaining terms as they arise. A glossary of common card-playing terms and an index listing games according to the number of players most suitable is also given. Patience or solitaire games using one or two packs, gambling games and children's games are included. Peter Arnold is also the author of "The Illustrated Book of Table Games", "The Complete Book of Indoor Games", "The Book of Games" and "The Encyclopaedia of Gambling".
