Description
The best-selling textbook provides a balanced account of radiology for the discerning medical student and trainees for higher examinations in medicine, surgery and anesthesia. It will also appeal to radiology trainees who are beginning their training. The chapter are, in general, divided into two sections: the first looks at the normal and discusses the signs and differential diagnosis of disease which the second section describes the findings in specific disorders. Reflecting the greater use of the newer imaging modalities and interventional radiology, this edition has been extensively revised but retains the appropriate emphasis on the imaging techniques with conventional X-rays, ultrasound, computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging. Over 800 photographs and plentiful accompanying diagrams illustrate the key features of the important diagnoses and facilitate a clear understanding of image interpretation.
Reviews / Votes
"The book is beautifully presented, with text easily read in double columns. Illustrations are copious, well annotated and generally of high quality. The authors are clearly experienced teachers, picking out of the firmament of knowledge that constellations and patterns of essential information in a precise but readable narrative, supplemented by compact lists, useful tables and quality line diagrams." (British Journal of Radiology) "This book is a delight.... The best recommendation I can proffer is that after reading it I promptly went out and ordered two copies; one for our department and one for myself." (Australian Radiology) "The illustrations are excellent, especially ultrasound images which are supplemented with line diagrams for easy interpretation.... The book is beautifully presented with an easy to read format. I would highly recommend this book for medical students...and even trainees radiologists." (RAD magazine) "Radiology is now such a wide and complex specialty that it is a major feat to pack so much information into 400 pages. The book offers chapters on every organ system and anatomical region. The drawings and radiographs are excellent and very well annotated. The text is concise, clear and never tedious making good use of lists and brief notes." (British Journal of Hospital Medicine)More details
