Description
Over the past few years, public servants were in shortages of trainings. As far as I'm concerned, this thesis has helped these public servants get the trainings they need by first interviewing them on what their problems were and after wards, fulfilling their needs. The purpose of the study is to assess the effectiveness and relevance of short-term trainings provided for public servants as well as to explore the challenges faced concerning participation in training programs. Based on the analysis and interpretation of the data, the short-term training was rated by the majority of the respondents as relevant in providing the knowledge, skill and attitude required by the civil servants to perform their day-to-day responsibilities. The study revealed that the effectiveness of the trainings were expressed with mean scores of 57.62 and 57.79 for males and females respectively, which in both cases is above the average. The study disclosed that the majority of the respondents agreed that the trainings provided for them were effective which shows that this thesis paper has been of a great significance.
