Reviews / Votes
Arblaster ably demonstrates that the Low Countries have always been a crossroads in Europe, with a diversity of people. It was true when the Romans first invaded in 57 BC, and is still true in the 21st century. * John B. Roney, Sacred Heart University, USA * Paul Arblaster's revised History of the Low Countries remains a most useful introduction to this dynamic region for students and researchers alike. In this day and age, the book's cross-temporal and transnational approach seems more valuable than ever. * Jonas Roelens, Ghent University, Belgium *More details
