His memoir of working with Warhol, Holy Terror: Andy Warhol Close Up, was published in 1990. He has been a regular contributor to Vanity Fair for the last two decades. John Waters is a filmmaker, writer, and visual artist. He has directed such cult films as Pink Flamingos, Hairspray, and Female Trouble.
