Description
Kara Wright is a former Royal Air Force Intelligence Analyst. Her best mate, Tien Tran, is a veteran of the British Army's Intelligence Corps. Both served in Afghanistan and both were lucky to make it home. Now, based in a run-down office in Kentish Town they try to keep their heads above water as private investigators. When two grown-up children claim their elderly parents have been kidnapped, Kara and Tien are sceptical, but they need the money and anyway, Kara could really do with keeping her mind off the man she murdered.

Reviews / Votes
"With taut writing, bone-crushing action, and a pace that never relents, this was a difficult read to put down and a worthy winner." ;Mark Dawson (Publishers Weekly BookLife Prize Winner 2017);"Face Value, very different in theme to his first book, once again proves Andrew to be a versatile and gifted writer who delivers books that hold readers from beginning to end. With very well-constructed plots, Andrew delivers adrenaline and excitement laced with imaginative, innovative technology with memorable characters who provide heart and substance to his work." ;(Elaine Fry - The West Australian)More details

Ian Andrew grew up in the coastal town of Larne, Northern Ireland. He left to join the Royal Air Force at age 18 and worked initially as an aircraft technician before being commissioned as an Intelligence Officer. After serving for two decades he relocated, with his Australian wife, to the rural South West of Western Australia. Surrounded by a resident mob of kangaroos, he is currently working on the next novel in the Wright & Tran series of detective stories.
