Andreas Gefeller

In his photographs, Gefeller has turned holiday sites in the Gran Canaria into bleak Utopian backdrops. His pieces raise a number of questions: How real is reality and how true are its representations? Throughout the book quotations from authors and philosophers who question the perception of reality are placed opposite the pictures of the photographer.
