Description
Recent trend in poultry industry is to produce crop by enhancing the growth rate and weight to meet the requirement. Normally domestic layer take almost 70 to 80 weeks to gain the weight of 1.5kg because that is omnivore and takes insects, seeds and vegetables as feed. But requirement is to produce crop in short time period within 6 to 7 weeks. For this purpose various metals are added in poultry feed to make possible the boost in weight. Many studies investigated that artificial feed contents were being added in broiler feed to enhance the growth rate and weight. This study was conducted to determine the heavy metals concentrations in broiler and to calculate the daily intake limits of broiler meat for humans.
