Once Adam has completed his training to become a knight (or Nasi, as such things are called on the planet Gannah), he will be heir to the throne. Or that's what he thinks, until he stumbles upon a village of Old Gannahan survivors. Hard to believe, because they were thought to have all died in the plague decades earlier. Worst yet, it seems one of them is the rightful ruler, not Adam's mother as everyone had believed. What's to be done? Plenty, as it turns out.
